My name is Julie Taylor-Browne and I am a Feldenkrais (pronounced fel-den-krice) Teacher based near Helston in Cornwall. I have a busy and fulfilling practice incorporating one-to-one sessions, weekly group lessons and regular three-hour workshops. I am currently in training to qualify as a Movement Lesson Practitioner. Movement Lessons are a wonderful way to work with everyone, particularly children and babies with special needs.
I am now opening up slowly and carefully and offering one-to-one (known as Functional Integration) sessions as well as regular classes and workshops in Awareness Through Movement, (currently online). I am also available to teach group sessions for example for singers and actors, those in the workplace and to groups of people with specific medical conditions such as Parkinson's disease and ME. In these challenging times I believe that the Feldenkrais Method can help us mentally, physically and spiritually and I encourage you to give a class or a one-to-one session a go if you haven't already tried it. Based on my own experience and those of my clients, I know that the classes and the one-to-one sessions can be very effective helping people with reduced mobility or who are in pain through injury, illness, ageing, loss of balance, surgery, emotional difficulties and trauma. Functional Integration and Awareness through Movement lessons are interesting, effective and pleasant and can complement other forms of exercise and conventional medical and alternative treatments.
